Jerry Buss, Lakers Owner and Innovator, Dies at 80
The owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jerry Buss, is Monday at age of 80 years deceased. Buss was last week with cancer recorded at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The direct cause of death, however, were kidney failure.
Jerry Buss bought the Lakers in 1979 and turned the club into the most popular sports in Southern California. The Lakers gained with Jerry Buss as owner 10 championships. Jerry Buss was once named best sports franchise owner in the USA.
